At ACCIONA Energía we promote diversity, equity and inclusion in our teams, aiming to strengthen our capacity for resilience and business performance in the 25 countries where we are present.
We understand Diversity as the set of characteristics, both visible and invisible, that make each person unique and singular, providing a competitive advantage that allows us to address the complex challenges that threaten the world from innovative perspectives.
We consider Equity an essential duty, ensuring that all people receive fair and impartial treatment and have access to the support and resources necessary to thrive.
Finally, we conceive Inclusion as a strategy that values the individual characteristics of all people within the organization and creates opportunities so all can participate, fostering a diverse, inclusive environment that encourages respect, safety, performance, well-being, belonging and commitment.
These pluralities are a priority responsibility in our people management model, essential in fulfilling human rights, sustainable development and the goals set out in the 2030 Agenda.
Fostering an inclusive environment that guarantees equal treatment and opportunities is essential to promote diversity in organizations and turn it into tangible results. These are the fundamental principles of our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Policy:
Respect for people
Non discrimination
Promoting diversity in society and communities
Recognition based on effective equality
Equal pay and consideration
Inclusive leadership
Internal mobility
Integration of professional and personal life
Inclusive workspaces
Inclusive communication
Thanks to this ACCIONA program to support the incorporation of female professionals on wind farms, there are more and more women engineers working in maintenance jobs at facilities in the Isthmus region of Mexico.
Although the integration of female talent in the renewable energy sector has been expanded and supported in recent years, there is still much room for progress.
In order to respond to this need, we have developed the ‘Sustainable 50:50’ program. The program aims to actively promote the representation and leadership of women in all company activities and our production sites.
A program to create a gender-balanced technical team (50% women) in Operation and Maintenance (O&M), which includes tailored training and international mobility opportunities to the United States.
Program to include women in asset O&M in identified positions, boosting female talent for maintenance operators.
At ACCIONA Energía we are committed to the inclusion of people with disabilities in the workplace.
